It’s a sunny day even though it’s the ‘rainy season’. You want to go to one of the most beautiful beaches you have ever seen right? You’re in luck, Phuket is surrounded by beaches, most islands are in fact but Phuket is unique.

“Where should I go?” is a common question heard around the island. “Depends on what you like.” Someone once said wherever you go, there you are.

If you are at the southern tip of the island, check out Nai Harn beach. A popular spot for the ex-pats, usually less crowded and great views. Also catch a sunset at Promthep Cape while you’re there. Making you’re way north, stop off at Kata viewpoint for a postcard view of Kata beach and Patong. Rent a board and do some surfing at the south end of Kata beach, then grab a cool drink at the reggae bar. Karon is a beautiful, long stretch of white sand beaches where you’ll find friendly conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. Ahhhhhh then there’s Patong beach, the smells the sights the sounds, it’s a treasure trove of people watching and a builder of personal self-confidence.

The further north you go the less crowded you will find the beaches. The Bang Tao area is secluded and home to some very fine dining on the island. Into adventure and extreme sports? Make a trip and a reservation at Kite Zone to learn kite surfing and enjoy a relaxing environment and if you’re lucky, experience a Job 2 Do concert right on the sand.
