For absolute entertainment you will have seen nothing like the Simon Cabaret. I took my dad along, he pretended to be shocked but I could tell he secretly enjoyed it. If you want to see some beautiful and ‘unusual’ looking doubles of Tina Turner and Shirley Bassey belting out (miming really) big show tune numbers in sensational costumes, you need to check this out.
FantaSea
Fantasea is a bit cheesy and people seem to either love it or hate it. It is advertised as ‘a theatrical show of Thailand's Myths, Mysteries and Magic’, but I have also heard it referred to as ‘tacky’ ‘a theme park’ and ‘designed only to remove money from your pocket’. The show itself is quite entertaining with a mix of story-telling, dancing and cultural heritage, (it has 15 or so live elephants) clowns, trapezes and magicians. If you want to see a magician sawing a woman into 2 parts then this is the place.
