SightseeingAquarium
The aquarium is located on the far southeast of the island on Cape Panwa, it is not very large, but they have over a hundred species of marine life. The aquarium is Thailand's top marine biological research centre on tropical reef ecosystems and commercial fisheries. They also breed species of endangered sea turtles before releasing them into the ocean.
Zoo
There’s a wild array of unusual sights to see at Phuket Zoo, along with the tigers, crocodiles, camels, ostriches and emus they also have some unusual shows going on. There’s the crocodile wrestling show with a guy giving a crocodile a kiss and putting his head in its mouth! You can see monkey’s doing maths, riding a bike, and heaps of other funny activities. There is a great Bird Park full of local and worldwide birds that fly free in the aviary, and an orchid garden.
Butterfly Garden & Insectarium
Phuket Butterfly Garden & Insect World is specially designed for the breeding of tropical butterflies and moths. As you walk around they are flying freely all around you, you can see them sip the nectar from the flowers and laying tiny eggs. The Insectariums have an assortment of insect specimens including stick insects and insects related to Giant Millipedes, Scorpion and Tarantula.
Gibbon Rehabilitation Centre
Gibbons are often mistreated in Thailand, purchased for their cuteness and used to attract customers, when they are older and harder to control their owners don’t want them any longer and abandon them. The Gibbon Centre rehabilitates the gibbons by teaching them to take care of themselves, when ready they are released to uninhabited islands.
