Went to the Friday night gig on Patong beach. I noticed it was free to get in. People in Phuket are notoriously tight and dont like paying to get in.
Secondly, the drink prices and ticketing system was a JOKE. Queue up for a long time to get a ticket, to have to queue up again for drinks. Towards the end of the night, the ticket selling girl was just stood there whilst 2 staff were trying to serve the 5 -deep people at the bar. Isnt she programmed to help out?
Thirdly, 150 baht for one small beer which RETAILS for 35 baht is just greedy. That's more than a 4 fold mark up.
300 baht for a bucket with THREEE shots in it. That's at least a 5-fold mark up.
Sorry guys, those are first-world Western prices - and some. That is just plain greedy. For those sort of prices, i want waitress service in an air conditioned club - not waiting for 20 plus minutes on the sand.
It's put me right off attending one of your functions again.
Don't be so greedy. And sort out your staff. 2 or 3 staff se...

Er.............where the fuck have you been? Blues festival, Jazz festival, Royfest (twice), job2do (hundreds of times!) Patong carnival, New Years Eve.....................
Lots of events on the beach. LOTS. And NONE of them have ever charged 150baht for a small beer.
It's just greedy.
If you’ve seen all the beaches, and feel like a change, Phuket has several waterfalls...
